Generali Global Assistance’s Travel Insurance division (“the Company), formerly CSA Travel Protection, today announced that its long standing partner, InsureMyTrip, a leading travel insurance comparison site, has launched its three new consumer plans to InsureMyTrip’s customers. As of today, the plans – which feature new coverages for travelers to help protect themselves, their belongings, and their travel investments – are now available for purchase via InsureMyTrip.com.
All three plans, Standard, Preferred, and Premium include:
- Trip Cancellation coverage that can even cover if you need to cancel your trip due to a sickness or injury of non-travelling family members – making it one of the most extensive coverages in the marketplace
- Access to Generali Global Assistance’s strong network of approximately 425,000 medical providers
- A medical expense service which includes “No Out-of-Pocket Medical,” that can arrange medical appointments, where available, and pay up-front for acute treatments up to $1,000
- Identity Theft Resolution services
- Teladoc* (or virtual doctor) services
- Concierge services
Commenting on today’s news, Chris Carnicelli, CEO of Generali Global Assistance said, “InsureMyTrip is a leader in the travel insurance comparison space, an important distribution partner for us, and it’s not surprising they are fast to launch our new plan offerings. We are very pleased that the new plans were able to be added to their site just in time for both the peak 2018 wave and travel seasons. InsureMyTrip customers will be happy to know that these plans come with the same great customer service from Generali Global Assistance they are used to and that we have enhanced our claims process for these plans through an online experience, that has increased customer satisfaction.”
A unique feature of the Preferred and Premium plans is coverage for the loss, theft, damage or delay of sporting equipment – making them ideal for golf and ski vacations.
“We are pleased to be able to offer our customers greater options through these three plans, which include the best of Generali Global Assistance’s previous plans, plus additional features that we think our customers will be excited about – especially the coverages for sporting equipment,” added Executive Vice President Peter Evans of InsureMyTrip. “We have enjoyed a strong partnership with Generali Global Assistance and look forward to our future mutual success.”
